Ida Mozelle Scott Lassiter, 88, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 P.M. Monday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 P.M. Monday prior to service at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, April 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William C. Scott and Lona Hayes Scott. She was a precious servant of God who exemplified how a Christian lives. She gave her life in caring for many of her loved ones and in her own words did it “because she wanted to.” She will be greatly missed yet her smile, sweet, and genuine spirit will live in our hearts forever. She was the widow of Jack K. Lassiter.
Survivors include her daughters, Angela Hasty and Debbie (Aubrey) Phipps; grandchildren, Rocky (Becky) Phipps, Ingrid (Justin) Matthews, Joy Phipps, Missy (Scott) Earp, Bethany (Joey) Pratt; great-grandchildren, Lilli Phipps, Jun Phipps, Jackson Holt, Hannah Grace Matthews, and Luke Pratt; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to acknowledge and thank Laura (Jackie) Fields for her faithful support in so lovingly caring for their Mom.
