Lady Wildcats Down Gators, Battle Mustangs to 57-54 Win

Dillon’s Lady Wildcats claimed a 51-13 win over Lake View’s Lady Gators on Monday before battling to a 57-54 win over the South Robeson Mustangs.

The Wildcats hosted Lake View on Monday and outscored the Wild Gators in every inning, getting off to a 19-3 start and going 13-7 in the half. Dillon added 19 points in the second half to Lake View’s three for the 51-13 win.

Khamele Manning led the Lady Wildcats with nine points, while Dakerhia Samuel scored six points and led Dillon with 11 rebounds. Yolanda Campbell scored eight points with 10 rebounds; Nakedra Page scored seven points; Brianna Lee and Shar’Asia Samuel each scored six points; Bonnie Fields scored five; and Shymya Sowells and TeJah Breeden each added two.

Jasmine Ford led Lake View with eight points with Kayla Sanderson adding three and Zaria Washington earning two.

On Tuesday, Dillon traveled to South Robeson where they battled the Mustangs to a 54-54 tie. With only seconds remaining in the game, Dillon’s Brianna Lee sank a 3-point shot to give Dillon the 57-54 win.

In addition to the game winning shot, Lee scored seven points with 10 steals and eight assists. Bonnie Fields led Dillon with 11 points, and Camille Manning and Nakedra Page each scored 10 points. Yolanda Campbell scored nine points and picked up 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Dillon’s Lady Cats are now 5-0 in the regular season. On Wednesday night, Dillon was scheduled to face Fairmont in the Robeson County Shootout.

Dillon is scheduled to be at Marlboro County on Monday, December 17, at 6:00 p.m. and will host Latta on Thursday, December 20, in the last game before the holiday break. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
