Murrells Inlet-Ryan “Ben” Byrd, 78, passed away November 1, 2012. Born in Pinehurst, NC. Ben was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Hamilton Byrd and sister, Barbara Ann Pittman. He is survived by four daughters, Sheila Fowler (Doug) of the home, Terri Atkinson (David) of Raleigh, Lori Strickland of Myrtle Beach, Joni Brown (Bryan) of Mullins; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
