Father and Daughter Haul in 51-lb. Catfish

They were fishing off the 34 landing on Friday, July 27, when Katlyn hooked something. She asked her dad for help reeling it in, and Truman thought she must have a turtle on the line. But as he fought to reel it in and saw it splashing at the surface, he realized it was a huge fish.
Truman’s mother, Dorothy Jackson, said it took him over 10 minutes to reel in the 51-lb. catfish.
The father/daughter team used Katlyn’s rod and reel with a 15-lb. test line.
