Services for William Charlie Herring, Jr. will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Herring, 84, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home.
Born in Horry County, SC, November 5, 1927, he was the son of the late William Charlie Herring, Sr. and Rachel Allen Herring. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sisters, Haley H. Jones of Dillon, and Helon H. Herring of Hamer; brothers, William Jim (Ruth) Herring of Laurel Hill, NC, and Solomon (Shirley) Herring of Lumberton, NC; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Herring was preceded in death by his parents; and his 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
