Maggie L. Strickland Wiggins, 87, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Pines Nursing Home in Dillon.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Shiloh Chapel with burial in Piney Grove Freewill Holiness Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John Strickland and Molly Roberts Strickland. She was a member of Shiloh Chapel, and she also attended Buck Creek Baptist Church in Chesnee, SC. She was the widow of the late B.W. “Doug” Wiggins.
Survivors include her sons, Rev. Buddy (Sybil) Wiggins of Sellers, and Rev. Douglas “Doc” (Wanda) Wiggins of Sellers; daughter, Jeannie Louise (Forrest) Peck of Chesnee, SC; adopted daughter, Neta Byrd of Latta; sister, Nancy Gunnells of Mulberry, FL; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Martha Wiggins.
