A 27-year-old Dillon woman was killed in a single vehicle collision on May 16th, according to Lance Corporal Judd Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at approximately 12:35 a.m. on Highway 301, three miles north of Dillon.
According to Jones, the 2002 Jeep SUV was traveling north on Highway 301. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The woman was ejected under the vehicle, was fatally injured, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the woman as Sherikee Stackhouse of Dillon. He said it is unknown if she was the driver of the vehicle.
Jones said the other occupant of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Jones said the wreck remains under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
