The Dillon Wildcats defeated Waccamaw 3-0 in baseball action Thursday night to remain undefeated in Region 8-2A.
Jamie Callahan picked up the win, pitching seven innings with 14 outs, two hits, and one walk.
Kwinton Smith led the Wildcats at bat, going 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth.
Smith also scored the Wildcats first run in the first inning. He singled, stole second, and went to a third on a wild pitch. Callahan brought Smith in on a fielder’s choice.
The Wildcats improve to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in Region 8-2A.
Dillon is scheduled to travel to Aynor tonight at 6:30 p.m. The Wildcats will be back at home on Friday to host the Loris Lion sat 6:30. Make plans to attend to support our local team!
