Wild Gators Shut Out Bears 10-0

Lake View’s Wild Gators shut out the Carvers Bay Bears 10-0 on Tuesday night, with Lake View pitcher Nate Lewis giving up only two hits in the win.

The Gators opened the game with four runs and added three in the second and one in the third to lead 8-0. Lake View would add two more runs in the fifth to seal the win at 10-0.

The Wild Gators had nine hits and no errors in the win, while the Bears had just two hits and three errors.

Lewis picked up the win on the mound, going four innings with only two hits and two walks. He struck out five. Darius Leonard pitched one inning, striking out two.

Carvers Bay’s Legette took the loss, pitching three innings with seven runs, three earned runs, four hits, and five walks, striking out three.

Hunter Walters led the Gators at bat, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and one run scored. Chris Ford went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, and Lewis went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Eric Munoz went 1-for-3 with a double, three RBIs, and one run; John Michael Brown went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored; and Darius Leonard scored one run for the Gators.

Lake View improves to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in Region 8A.
