Pedestrian Fatalities have tripled
Most people are pedestrians at some point each day. Few realize how risky that can be. Pedestrian crashes occur most often during morning and afternoon peak travel times. Most pedestrian fatalities occur at night.
South Carolina Facts:
– Primary causes: illegally in the roadway, improper crossing. and no reflective clothing
– Pee Dee and Grandstrand pedestrian fatalities have Doubled

Stay Safe
– Never assume the vehicle driver sees you.
– Walk on the shoulder facing traffic
– Wear light and reflective material if you are a pedestrian at night.
– Look both ways: Look left, right, and left again.
