Services for Edd Martin Campbell were held 3:00 p.m. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation was held 1:30-3:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
Mr. Campbell, 87, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, February 20, 1924, he was the son of late George W. Campbell and Johnnie Martin Campbell. He was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church, was retired from Dixiana Mills, and was a U.S. Marine Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty J. Campbell of Dillon; children, Randy (Kay) Campbell of Gastonia, NC, Dennis (Linda) Campbell of Corning, CA, Carolyn (Stan) Stanford of Goldsboro, NC, and Michael (Doris) Campbell of Dillon; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O. Box 111, Dillon, SC 29536.
