The Dillon Wildcats season came to an end on Friday night when the Wildcats fell to Timberland, 18-15, in the Class 2A Division I Lower State championship game. At halftime, Timberland led 9-0. During the second half, scoring for Dillon came from Kwinton Smith on a 21-yard touchdown and then a Wildcat kick for the extra point and Joe Blue on a 2-yard run for a touchdown and then two point conversion (Thomas Grossetti to Kwinton Smith). A field goal by Timberland won the game. The Wildcats finished 12-1 for the season.
