Mr. Dan Howard Cook died Sunday, November 20, 2011, at his home in Lake View, SC, after an illness.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake View, directed by Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Cooke Funeral Home.
Mr. Cook Was born in Dillon County, the son for the late Foster and Blanche Blackmon Cook. Mr. Cook was retired from the US Army and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving Mr. Cook are his wife, Virginia F. Cook; Sons, Dan Howard Cook, Jr., and Robert Joe Cook; Daughters, Ellen Cook and Helen Cook Little; Brothers, Jimmy Cook, Richard Fairbanks, and Jack Cook; Sisters, Louise Riggs, Lois Wallace, Pansy Bates, Hester Duncan, Esther Patterson, Cindy Messar; Grandchildren, Tracy Danielle Albright, Ashley Dora Nobles, Shawna Renee Nobles, Gary Robert Gunn, Jr., Coreybeth Cook, Savannah Cook, and Kelsey Cook; Great Grandchildren, Marcus Nobles, Kaidyn Albright, Mia Raeleys, Michael Conrad, and McKenna Albright: and Special Grandson Robert Gunn.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his sister Mary Allen.
