The Lake View Wild Gators earned a 22-20 victory over Timmonsville on Friday to earn them a chance at the Class A Division II State Championship.
Lake View will now play Christ Church for the title next Friday, November 25, at Benedict College in Columbia at noon. It will be Lake View’s first state title appearance since 2006.
Meanwhile, the Dillon Wildcats ran over Swansea 45-3 in the Class AA Division I playoffs. Dillon advances to the lower state championship game next Friday against Timberland. This will be the fourth year in a row that the two teams have met in the lower state playoffs.
Dillon will host the game on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
