Lake View’s Wild Gators fell to Carvers Bay 18-12 in overtime on Friday. Lake View got off to a 6-0 lead in the first half, but by the end of the fourth, the Bears had tied things up 12-12.
In overtime, Carvers Bay’s Devin Cuttino made the winning touchdown on a six-yard run and the Bears held off Lake View’s next possession for the win.
Lake View’s record falls to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in Region 8A. Carvers Bay improves to 3-4 and 2-1 in the region. The Bears also claimed an overtime victory over Latta on September 16.
Lake View High School will celebrate Homecoming this Friday, October 7, when they take on Creek Bridge at 7:30 p.m. in Lake View.
