The victim, who is from Myrtle Beach, brought a green and black Kawasaki to the Sheriff’s Office to meet with a man who told him that he worked at the Sheriff’s Office and who gave him the first name of a deputy who is actually employed there. The man told the victim that he wanted to test drive the motorcycle before purchasing it. The man left on the motorcycle, and the victim waited 45 minutes, but the man never returned. The phone number given by the suspect, who is described as a 25-30 year old black male, has been disconnected. The motorcycle is valued at $7,500.
