Mr. W.L. McKenzie, 86, died at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC, Saturday, July 30, 2011. Visitation will be from 6:00- 8:00 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon. Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 1, 2011, in Riverside Cemetery in Dillon, SC, directed by Kannaday Funeral Home.
Mr. McKenzie was born in Dillon County, SC, June 6, 1925 the son of the late Beulah Grimes and Wallie McKenzie. He was the widower of Ruth Whittington McKenzie and was a retired Boiler Maker, Welder, and Farmer. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and member of Union United Methodist Church.
He is survived by daughters Patty McKenzie of Dillon, Kathy (Jerry) Gray of Lake View and Betty (Garrett) Miller also of Lake View; grandchildren; Lesley (Shane) Sessions of Lake View, Staci (Chris) Owens of Florence and Heather Gray of Lake View and three great- grandchildren; Alexis and Zayne Sessions, and Miller Owens.
