Chelsea Williams, a piano, voice and organ student of Robin Thompson will be presenting a Senior Recital on Sunday, June 26 at 3 pm in the Sanctuary of Main Street United Methodist church of Dillon with a reception to follow in Asbury Hall.
The program will include piano, organ and vocal selections by Handel, Bach, Elmenreich, Beethoven, Vandall, and Ritter. In addition to solos, Chelsea will be playing piano duets and a piano-organ duet with her teacher. Highlights on the program are “The Water Music Suite”, “Fuer Elise”, and “Toccata in d minor”.
Chelsea is the grandaughter of Bobby and Margaret Carter and member of First Presbyterian Church. Chelsea is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2011 at the Dillon Christian School where she has received many honors including being Head Junior Marshall, Honors Student, and Star Student for the highhest SAT score in her class. Chelsea is the recipient of a Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, The Dean’s Scholarship, and the Rotary Club Scholarship; she will be attending The University of South Carolina and hopes to pursure a career in the medical field.
Chelsea has been an outstanding music student and has recieved Superior ratings in music festivals sponsored bu the Florence Independent Music Teachers Association and SCISA.
