Search Ends: Suspect Still On The Loose (6/23-1 a.m. Update)

A manhunt in the Latta area for a suspect in a home invasion ended shortly after 1 a.m. on Thursday without locating the suspect.
The Herald spoke with Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s at 1:07 a.m. Arnette said the search had ended, and they were in the process of clearing out at the time of the call. The suspect had not been located at this time, more than 13 hours after the search began.
Several law enforcement agencies including the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, the Dillon and Latta Police Departments, SLED, and the S.C. Highway Patrol participated in the search. The SLED helicopter and the dogs were used in the search.
Three other suspects were arrested on Wednesday in the case. More details will be in Tuesday’s issue of The Dillon Herald.
