Services for Mary Lee Cook Meares will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Church of God of Prophecy directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Meares, 53, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Dillon, February 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Nosroe Oxendine and Kathleen Barton Oxendine.
Survivors include her husband, Tracy Meares of Dillon; daughter, Cathy Oxendine (Trayce Allen) of Dillon; sons, Steve Oxendine of Dillon, and Theodore Hope (Jenny Watts), of Dillon; sisters, Catherine Satterfield of Clarksville, TN, Alice (Rev. Kenneth) Feagin of Lake View, Annie Sue Lovette, Nelfice Butler, and Ellen Oxendine, all of Dillon, and Viola Hood, of Brownsville; brothers, Hebert Oxendine of Little Rock, Eugene Oxendine, and Nosroe Oxendine, both of Dillon, and Tony Oxendine of Latta; cherished & loved friend, Vickie Meares.
Mrs. Meares was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Boltin.
