The Latta Vikings and Lake View Wild Gators faced off in the season finale for both teams on Thursday, February 10, with Latta earning the win 66-59.
The Vikings were led by Darren LeGette with a game-high 17 points, HyKeem McClellan with 13, and She’Quan Page with 12.Rajit McFadden and Donell Stanley each earned nine points. Jonathan Vereen contributed three points, Travis Kenney earned two, and Ty-Sean Burgess added one point to the win.
The Gators were led by Chris Ford with 15 points and Shaquille Foxworth with 13. Jordan Miller earned six points and Michael Paige scored five, with Jamal Ford, Hunter Lewis, and Morgan McDaniel each contributing four points. Tyrice Brunson and Darius Leonard each picked up three points, and Jamar Hamer added two.
Latta’s season ends with a 6-14 record and a 5-7 record in Region 8-A. Lake View closes out the season 0-15.
Neither team will move on to the playoffs, which begin on Tuesday, February 15, and will include Region 8-A leaders Carvers Bay, Creek Bridge, Hemingway in Class A action.
