Services for Janet Antoinette Morris will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Morris, 91, died Monday December 27, 2010 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, January 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John Smotucha and Katherine Golemba Smotucha. She lived most of her life in Michigan. She attended schools in Michigan and Wisconsin and retired from Michigan National Bank in 1978. She was very active in senior citizens groups in Michigan, with “St. Louie Lunch Bunch” in Dillon, and a former St. Eugene Hospital Auxillary member. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and a member of its Catholic Women’s Group.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Maribeth Martin, Natalie Holcomb and Darrell, Bradley Morton and Anna, Renee Zientek, Kerrilynn Miller, 8 great-grandchildren; one special niece, Valerie Owens.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, John C Morris; daughter, Valerie Morton; and her son, Gene Miller.
