Services for Leonard Preston Baker, Jr. will be held Tuesday at 3:00 P.M. in Little Bless Holiness Church with burial in Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was 2:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Monday at Little Bless Holiness Church.
Mr. Baker, 60, died Sunday in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, February 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Leonard Preston Baker Sr. and Miriam Kate-Jane Wise Baker. He was a member of Bethesda Southern Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Leonard Preston Baker III and Aubrey William Baker of Rural Hall, N.C.; daughters, Deborah Denise Esquebel and Angel Baker Barnes of Thomasville, N.C.; brothers, Lindsay F. (Hazel) Baker and Aubrey W. Baker of Latta, Christopher (Linda) Baker and Norman (Catherine) Baker of Trinity, N.C.; 8 grandchildren
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Neil Walker and Bessie Weatherford Wise; paternal grandparents, Paul Frederick and Mary Friedolph Baker.
