East 4-K Teacher Achieves National Board Certification

Ashley Hardee, a 4-K teacher at East Elementary, has recently achieved National Board Certification. 
This is a voluntary assessment program designed to develop, recognize and reward accomplished teachers.  National Board Certification is achieved through a performance-based assessment that usually takes from one to three years to complete.
National Board Certified Teachers have successfully demonstrated advanced teaching knowledge, skills, and practices.
In addition to receiving National Board Certification, Ashley has also just recently completed 30 hours above her Master’s Degree earning a Specialist’s Degree in the area of Special Education.  She had previously attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities.
Ashley has been a 4-K teacher in Dillon District Two for the past eight years.  She is the wife of Lee Hardee and the daughter of Jerel and Brooksie Singleton.
