Glove And Trowel Garden Club Hold Chili Supper

The Glove and Trowel Garden Club held its Seventh Annual Fall Chili Supper and Food Bazaar on Thursday, November 18, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Dillon City Fire Department. Co-Chairmen this year were Jamie Sue Stephens and Natalie Wallace.  Serving on their committee were: Kathryn Bumgardner, Betty Sue Gibbons, Linda Dutton, Julia McLaurin, Doris McKenzie, Kay Smilie, Sarita Bethea, and Jeanne McLaurin.  However, this project includes the entire membership in the chili supper and bake sale with each member having assigned duties.  Proceeds from this project help fund our contributions to community improvements/activities.  We would like to thank everyone for their support of this fundraiser. Our garden club is a member of the Dillon Council of Garden Clubs with Ivy Pope, our President, serving as Secretary.  We are also members of the Coastal District, The Garden Club of South South Carolina, Inc., The South Atlantic Region, and the National Garden
Clubs, Inc. Pictured left to right: Sarita Bethea, Natalie Wallace (Co-Chairman), Ivy Pope (President), Jamie Sue Stephens (Co-Chairman), and Kathryn Bumgardner.  Committee members not pictured: Betty Sue Gibbons, Linda Dutton, Julia A. McLaurin, Doris McKenzie, Kay Smilie, and Jeanne McLaurin.
