CSX Transportation Inc. (CSXT) will increase train speeds in the towns of Dillon and Mullins.
The following freight train speed increases will go into effect:
On Sunday, Nov. 7, train speeds will increase from 35 to 40 mph from Dillon to Mullins, S.C.
These speed increases will help reduce wait times for motorists at highway-rail intersections and improve rail operation efficiencies. CSX is working closely with local agencies and community partners to ensure this is a smooth transition.
