Clara Rouse Henry, 88, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 after a short illness. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM in Pyerian Baptist Church, Thursday Ocober 28, 2010. Visitation will be from 7:00 – 9:00 Wednesday October 27, 2010 in Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC.
Mrs. Henry was born in Fork, SC, the daughter of the late Maudie Miller and Willie Robert Rouse. She was the widow of the late Leslie Henry. She was the Activity Director at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home for thirty-two years. For many years she had been a faithful member of Pyerian Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Joyce Dean (Kenneth) Miller of Lake View, SC.; one sister: Ethel Lake of Fall River, Mass.; two grandchildren: Kenneth M. Miller and Jeffery R.(Melisa) Miller; three great grandchldren: Hannah Miller, Victoria Miller, and Jackson Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mahajan and his staff in Florence, SC. and all of the McLeod Hospice staff including Dr. Fox, Renee Williamson, Lorene Godbolt, and Mary Bethea.
