On September 26, the Dillon Church of God was called into a business meeting in which the motion was made and carried to pay off current church indebtedness and to move forward with a proposed building project, contingent upon the sale of the church property located at 701 Highway 301 South in Dillon.
Building plans (as seen here) had been released to the church body two weeks prior to the vote on Sunday, September 12th.
This building project includes the renovation of the Dillon Church of God Youth and Activity Center located at 536 Radford Boulevard (formerly Wal-Mart), and the relocation of the entire Dillon Church of God Campus to this new location.
Plans include a state of the art 1400 seat Main Sanctuary, Youth Worship Center and Café, Children’s Worship Center and Play Area, Hispanic Worship Center, and a Music Suite. Also included in the plan are an educational wing and a banquet hall with a commercial kitchen.
Joe and Denise Grice, Senior Pastor of the Dillon Church of God, would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone who is seeking a church home to join them on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. for Sunday School, 10:45 a.m. for Morning Worship, 5:00 p.m. for Evening Worship and on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. for Family Night. Our Hispanic congregation currently meets at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons and at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.
