Bonnie H. Byrd, 70, of Garden City, S.C., formerly of Dillon, has died at her home on Sept 29 after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband of 54 yrs. Ryan B. Byrd III (Ben), four daughters, Sheila Fowler (Douglas), Terri Atkinson (David), Lori Strickland and Joni Brown (Bryan) and one sister, Mary H. Martin(Alan) of Wilmington, N.C. She had 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Oct. 2 at the Socastee Church of God in Myrtle Beach, where she was a member. She was the daughter of Wade H. Hamilton and Fleetwood M. Hamilton, stepdaughter of Myrtis J. Hamilton and Flora Mae Hamilton, who were lifelong residents of Dillon.
