Tommy “Peabug” James Owens, Jr., 61, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Born in Florence County, May 9, 1949, he was the son of the late Tommy James Owens, Sr. and Margaret Owens. He was retired from South Carolina Electric & Gas.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Owens of Dillon; sons, Tracy (Lisa) Owens and Robby (Tracy) Owens of Dillon; grandchildren, Madison & Alyssa Owens and Wesley & Rylie Owens; 2 step-sons, Jody Bethea and Jimmy Grimsley of Dillon; brothers, Wiley Owens of Darlington and Gene Owens of Dillon; sisters, Bonnie Doyle of Dillon and Linda Montrose of Florence.
