Services for Houston Franklin Lane, Jr. will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Lane, 65, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at The Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayetteville.
Born in Latta, SC, January 3, 1945, he was the son of the late Houston Franklin Lane, Sr. and Martha Smith Lane. He was a retired local commercial “trucker”.
Survivors include his loving wife, Esther Irene Lane of Fayetteville, NC; children, Christian M. Haring and wife, Anne, Joanna M. Aguilar and husband, Jacinto, both of Hendersonville, NC, Angela Kelly and husband, John of Chester, VA, and Tammy Jones and husband, Daniel of Fayetteville, NC; 8 grandchildren; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his brother, Buddy Lane; and sister, Geneva Munn.
