On Friday night, with the Dillon Wildcats on their bye week, Lake View won at home, DCS won on the road and Latta lost at home.

Lake View ran by Green Sea-Floyds, 48-14, to get their first Region 8A win and move to 3-1 on the season.
Senior tailback Kentell Kelly rushed for 203 yards on 16 carries, scoring 2 touchdowns for the Wild Gators. Senior tailback Jerome Mason added 130 yards rushing on 11 carries, with 3 touchdowns.

Dillon Christian School took a 42-6 win at Carolina Academy in Lake City. The Warriors move to 4-1 on the season.

Warriors’ senior wide receiver Jemel Williams had 108 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. Senior quarterback Stephen Johnson passed for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Latta, only down 6-0 at the half, fell behind in the second half of a 32-6 home loss to Carvers Bay in their Region 8A opener. Latta is now 2-3.

This coming Friday, Dillon will play host to Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m., Lake View will play at Johnsonville at 7:30 p.m., Latta will play at Green Sea-Floyds at 7:30 p.m., and Dillon Christian School will play host to Florence Christian School at 7:30 p.m.
