The 11-12-year-old Latta All Stars defeated Darlington 36-8 on Saturday, November 16, to advance in the All Star Playoffs.
Latta defeated Lake City in the first round of playoffs before taking on Darlington in round two. The Latta All Stars were scheduled to face Timmonsville on Saturday, November 23.
Timmonsville defeated Pageland and Pamplico to advance in the playoffs. The winner of Saturday’s game will advance to the championship to face the winner of the Hartsville/Cheraw game.
Hartsville defeated Mullins and Lamar to advance, while Cheraw defeated Green Sea Floyds and Marion.
The playoff tournament is being held at the City of Florence Parks and Recreation fields. The championship game will be held on Tuesday, November 26, at 7:15 p.m. The winner will advance to the state playoffs in Myrtle Beach.
UPDATE: The Latta All Stars defeated Timmonsville 30-6 on Saturday to advance to the District Championship. Latta will face Hartsville for the title on Monday, December 2, at 7:15 p.m.
